Project Description

Violin Vincenzo Jorio – Naples 1852

The complicated work performed on this violin is an example of how technology helps us with a structural recovery that is less invasive as possible and respecting the originality of the ancient instrument. The top, abundantly damaged by woodworms, was first repaired in the holes and woodworm’s channels with through patches and then reinforced with a piece made with the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling technique.
